CPI increase for October 2022

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has released the Consumer Price Index for October 2022. (see: https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/economy/price-indexes-and-inflation/monthly-consumer-price-index-indicator/oct-2022)


The CPI rose 6.9% in the twelve months to October, slightly lower than September's 7.3%. The most significant price rises were Housing (+10.5%), Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+8.9%) and Transport (+7.4%).
